SportsBar VR Review PlayStation VR

By

It’s Friday night, should you head out to the bar or cuddle up with a new VR title? It’s a hard decision, but what if it didn’t have to be, what if you could do both? Developer Cherry Pop games new title SportsBarVR lets you finally make that a reality, but is it worth the trip, I sure think so!

I was a little skeptical at first, I mean why would I want to spend my hard earned money on a digital version of something right down the street from me, I was gladly mistaken. From the first second you are dropped into your own personal game room, you can immediately feel the immersion. You go through the usual look here, look there, turn around, but then…then you get to set your height. It’s just a little slider but I can barely explain how amazing it is when you hit your normal perspective, it’s like stepping into your VR shoes for the first time.

  1. "Why would I want to spend my hard-earned money on a digital version of something right down the street from me?" — quarantine 2020 answered that question. 😛

  2. A "review" where literally the first half of the video is the reviewer saying how he didn't pay attention to any of the tutorials and didn't know how to play. Then at the 3:00 mark of a 4 minute video gets to the actual games. No thanks.

  3. Gotta tell you Frank, I avoid your videos because of your over-the-top-accent, and this video taught me two things. #1 – Your regular voice is SOOOOO MUCH BETTER, and #2 – I’d actually watch your videos if you didn’t use the fake accent. I appreciate what you were trying to do with it, but it’s just waaaaay too much for me man, and I’m someone that uses fake accents all the time.

  4. The game is great but unfortunately you can barely find any adult to play with. Tired of little kids. What idiot parent let's his 10 y/o child play with adults in a virtual bar????

  5. I've been looking for more games to get since I played through all the other games and experiences I found intriguing, not sure how I missed this one but I'll be sure to get it now. Thanks for the video!

  6. Glad to know you CAN play with others.. I wasn't sure how and was lonely in there lol. The shooting the pool stick was tricky and finally realized after lining it up, you move the front hand.
I'm new to the move and camera too — Do I have to constantly charge the move controllers then like the main one and how do I use both at once? Sometimes games aren't recognizing the move controllers.
Thanks and looking forward to playing this with you.. going to check out werewolves too. Battlezone Multi was interesting but felt repetitive..

  7. these are some of the first non-huge company youtube game reviews I've seen I actually like. nice to find someone not hung up on themselves or trying to be the star of a video the whole time. well done indeed and intriguing looking game.
