I've noticed that some Rainbow Dash figures are "looking up" (like mine) and some are "looking down" (like yours). I wonder which one is supposed to be "newer".

I never really liked this Rainbow Dash figure, I was picky with her mane colors oxo like the head part, for example. But the rest is fine, but..Eh. Just not my favorite figure.

They are a bit puffy, but I don't think it's too bad.

Sorry, but that's clearly not the case.No matter which side of a pony you're looking at, they have one; therefore they have them on both sides. There's even some scenes where you can see them on both sides.
In the show only have one cute mark in one episode they even said it

His nails are extremely clean. I do not see dirt underneath them. His room is very clean as well. I have seen plenty of guys and girls with dirt underneath their short fingernails. I would assume this kind of guy washes his hands making him acceptable in my book.I personally have told people that I'd rather not shake their hand or continue to associate with them because they don't wash after using the restroom.

i cant believe u didnt point out the major paint flaw… her mane having blue on top of her head. i still bought one but its a major blow for something thats the most acurate figurine.
