  1. Just to clear up a couple of 1.30am recording brain blips. It isn't cheaper than AutoCAD or Inventor, I had the old perpetual prices in my head when I blurted that out, Vred Design is roughly $2500-3000 per year but that'll be less or more depending on your reseller discount. The old AutoCAD perpetual license was around $3500, hence the statement.
Also, yes you can use this with the HTC Vive and get the exact same hands & tools. It also works with the Vive Pro, XTAL, StarVR, the dev team look to support all major OpenVR headsets as well as Oculus.

  2. Think they will ever integrate that into inventor or fusion? Awesome though being able to visualize stuff like that…I would waste time I believe looking at all my models lol. I mean like a design review not to actually model the stuff.

  3. This is amazing, and works with Microsoft Mixed Reality too, that's a very good feature due that you are not limited to one top VR headset out there. This is something that can be implemented in the conceptualization stage, some models can be done and do some experimentation. I hope that VRed team keep improving this feature and works towards make it more interactive, that can make digital prototyping even more powerful tool.

  4. Looks awesome. Is all the functionality built directly into the Vanilla version of the latest VRED?
I've got our vr headset purchased and should be hopefully trying this out soon
