Oculus Quest 2 Link Update Review (90hz For Sim Racing) + VR Stabilization for OBS!

By

๐ŸŽ๏ธ In this video I take a further look at the Oculus Quest 2 now that the new Oculus Link update is out and it’s possible to do 90hz / 90fps. I see whether it’s now viable as a real sim racing headset and on top of this I explore the amazing option to stabilize VR footage. ๐Ÿ

  1. I know this is an old video but if you could get back to me on your settings now as what they were then with using debug tool. I still am seeming to get hard to read text on the cars whenever they get farther away it looks like I'm playing on a PlayStation 2 or 3 and the colors seem washed out as well. Have a 3080ti ,ryzen 3900x, 32 gb mem 3600hz

  2. NEED HELP! how do you activate the stabilisation when it comes to streaming your vr games through obs? I streamed it and it was still shaky but its built in so im a little confused. How do I make it work?

  3. This is a good chunk of information that answered almost every question I would have had. However, while I know this video is now a few months old, I still am curious: Has anyone else has issues running SimHub [transducers+windsim] while using a Quest 2 with Virtual Desktop? I can't get SimHub to send data to my gadgets while running VD, even with audio streaming disabled, regardless of which sim I'm running [AC, ACC, Pcars, Pcars2, Dirt Rally 2.0 are what I have]. Thoughts, anyone? I can still use VoiceMeeter to split my audio stream to both my bluetooth headphones and the USB sound card [that runs the transducer], for simple bass shaking, if that helps confuse things even further =D

  5. Bro you have such a beast PC, I would be surprised if you had any lag for anything. Also 45ms is such a small amount of lagg, 1000ms is 1 second. were talking 1/20th of a second lag. Most projectors, even gaming projectors have 120ms + of lag.

  6. Happened 9n your videos by chance as I have just ordered fanatec v2.5 wrc bundle. Been looking at playseat challenge for it. So weirdly your setup. Your videos have been really helpful. New Sub from me. ๐Ÿ‘

  7. I believe there is a head bobble setting within iracing setup files themselves. Still happy with the quest 2? Looking to upgrade from CV1

  8. im a little bit confused. my setup is rtx 2060 i59400f 16gb ram. i can play assetto corsa competizione with maxed out settings and i get about 90fps. if i play it with quest 2 link, will i not get the same performance as playing it with monitor?

  9. How does the Quest 2 handle ACC?

Iโ€™m building a pc with the 5600x & 3080 with ACC in VR, HL Alyx, Cyberpunk type games as my benchmarks. I have the 5600x and am trying to be patient for the 3080. I was going to build for the G2 but if the Quest 2 is doing ACC in VR well I may reconsider.

  10. Hello and thanks for this great video. I at a point to replace my CV1 for the Quest 2 … but do i need the 256GB is can i buy the 64GB too ? And iracing is what i game. This is not a instalation on the Quest but it stays on my PC right ? Is the only thing i need the right cable to connect my Quest on the PC ? Does it keep the battery alive while i am gaming trough the PC ? Thanks for the help. Regards from the Netherlands

  11. Would you recommend a Quest 2 when my specs are:
    16 GB Ram
    Nvidia RTX 2070
Ryzen 2600x ? I want to start with Simracing but atm I am not sure if I should choose a Tripple Screen setup instead of VR..

  12. I'm sticking with my CV1. I can' get hold of a 3080 and I can max out the settings on my 2070 on AC. The SDE is a pain but otherwise the CV1 is really good and it's a shame that the Rift S is only 80hz and only a marginally better resolution.
