Pistol Whip VR Review!

By

We review the new VR game Pistol Whip, a mix of first-person shooter and music rhythm genres. It’s some of the most fun we’ve had in VR, and makes us feel like we’re the star of an action film. Plus, we visit the developers of the game to learn how a Pistol Whip level is designed!

  1. Its amazing, its just not a real rhythm game like Synth Riders, Beat Saber and Audica. There is more focus on fun shooting with heats but not hitting a beat a the exact time.

  2. I couldn't get into this as a rhythm game since you have to actually care about the score for the beat matching aspect to matter. The thing that saved it for me was that you can just turn on dead eye (real accuracy) mode and it makes for a pretty good on-rails shooter with a trippy environment and good music.

  3. Hey Norm. Saw this vid, Adam's saber hilt build, then watched your OQuest review, then ordered a Quest for myself. Sounds like a perfect "VR console". Not needing a thousand-dollar-PC to do VR gaming is a huge relief.

  4. Im so obsessed with the fact they dont give you the timing of the rhythm. That freedom of you yourself being the one who has to keep the rhythm is awesome and allows for more creativity and replay-ability. Excited to snag this on payday.

  5. Need better songs and they need to make the gameplay actually synce up with the songs.

This game ahould not be allowed to advertise as a Rhythmm game because its not .

  6. This is the best vr game I've gotten in the last year, and a great review for going the extra miles to interview the developers. It's a really well-designed game that takes great advantage of vr, and it even has an exit (many vr games think that opening the vr overlay and killing the app from there is good enough)

  7. Great game, a bit over pricey I feel for the amount of content they say there going be added more so really hope they do. I’m surprise they don’t add hostages that you have to avoid shooting .
