Lies Beneath Mini Review – First Impressions – Horror Action Game on Oculus Quest

By

After playing the first 3 chapters of this brand new Graphic Novel style Horror Action VR game, here is my first look Lies Beneath Review on Oculus Quest (well at least a mini review😁).

This game is brilliant and well worth a look but be prepared to bring some spare pants as this can be very scary in VR!

  1. Guys, can you move around by teleporting rather than moving with the stick? As I’m a pussy, I get motion sickness when walking about with the stick! Damn my sensitive disposition!

  3. Nice first impressions, currently on chapter 5 atm and loving it.
Just a few negatives that will hopefully get patched in the coming weeks.
    i) Occasional black screen when no where near level edges, breaks immersion.
ii) Crouching causes screen calibration to make you look 10 feet tall, had to stand up and crouch again to reset the camera.
iii) Combat can be a bit hit and miss, especially melee, sometimes you can swing and no hits are registered.

Aside from these minor niggles I'm loving it, can't wait to blast through some more and I recommend purchasing and supporting the devs.
Anyone wanting to add me on Quest, add Macabre1980, much love.

  4. Agree completely with your comments on this, the game is incredible, visually and sound wise, the weakest part is definitely the combat, literally hit or miss, but this doesn’t detract from the game. People have told me this isn’t a scary game, but I have been crapping myself all the way through this. Good honest review.

  5. Hey dude! I really love the look of this game, and can't wait to get my hands on it! I think i might be getting it later today, i'll have to check my finances first πŸ™‚ Love this type of game, and the graphical style fits so well with mobile VR. So many positive things happening in the world of VR lately, with "Half-Life: Alyx" and now a great native Quest game. I'd like to see more native Quest games coming to the Oculus store in the coming weeks, as polished as this one.
Great video as always dude, thank you. It's good to see you back, doing what you do best. Look forward to the next one.
    All the best! πŸ˜€

  6. Also playing on normal. I've played about as much as you so far. The melee is a little wonky for me, but overall I'm digging it. Style reminds me of a Suda51 game (a compliment, as he is one of my fave devs).
