Oculus Quest 2 Review: The New VR Standard

Hello! Welcome to my Oculus Quest 2 review. I have been sincerely enjoying my time with the Oculus Quest 2 and I can certainly sayb it a pretty fantastic VR headset. Is it an Index killer? OR Reverb G2 killer though? I don’t think so. Is it the new king of VR? Well, it may sell the most, but it’s not the best, however the value proposition is one I just cannot ignore. This headset is a review unit from Oculus but i can absolutely guarantee a review that only holds the bias of myself.

  1. Music is a bit distracting from your voice. Probably due to the style of music. Otherwise good review. Seems like I don't need to use my Facebook account until 2023. So I'll just use my Oculus account until then…

  2. I am both happy to hear of the oculus's success and that they made a good product, and sad that their success will encourage other companies to do equally scummy things because people will just come to accept it. Which I am likely guilty of as well, but I can still be sad about it.

  3. Hello, so I have gamed on a pc on ultra graphics 1080p for the last 5 years, I started doing research on the quest 2 and I was very intrigued by the 1832×1920 resolution. After watching a bunch of reviews of the quest 2 of people playing games paying attention to the graphics I thought they looked pretty damn good and ordered myself one. This is my first vr headset so I have nothing to compare it to but it very much seems like it’s set to a very low resolution maybe 720? It definitely doesn’t look 1080p inside the headset and nothing compared to all the YouTube videos of the q2. I don’t believe it is a ipd or strap issue as nothing is blurry just looks like there is no anti aliasing aka scribbly lines all over the place and the chromatic aberration hurts my eyes and gives me a headache after looking at it for a while. Is the real experience inside the headset compared to what you see on YouTube etc really that worse or am I doing something wrong?
