SKYRIM VR REVIEW – USING HTC VIVE PRO AND VIRTUIX OMNI

By

Skyrim VR finally landed on the PC, and with the Vive Pro at my disposal, I feel like I’ve experienced all the game has to offer. As many of you know, I have a Virtuix Omni, so playing Skyrim on a VR treadmill is a fantastic, immersive way to play this game. But is Skyrim VR worth buying?

  1. Those hand sets should have an adjustable weight. Like, an electromagnet based on item weight? That would be cool and make swinging feel realer. Also excersise. And center of gravity could be an eventual thing too somehow

  2. There's also a vr thing that lets you walk forever in a straight line by tricking your brain into thinking your not walking into a circle, a method that doesn't got the motion sickness to boot. Also heard it can work with stuff like stairs. Theres also an awesome haptic glove that pulls on your hand so you can FEEL stuff and NOT go right through it.

  3. Hey man. Long time subscriber. Virtuix directed me to this video for a hack that allows the Omni to play in gamepad mode. Do you know anything about that?

  4. So you were able to get a commercial product (the omni virtuix)? Did you just say hey i'm a youtuber and I will pay? I guess I figured it would be hard to get ahold of because of all their COMMERCIAL ONLY at the moment stance. How much did you end up paying?

  5. How are you getting the omni to play on all these games? I haven't bought Skyrim yet, but having trouble getting my omni to run with anything. Can't even get the bellows to work. Even though there's an omni option.

  6. Hi! Fellow Omni user here. How are you dealing with the inability to SPRINT using your legs? I’ve been looking for a way to remap the Left Grip buttons to the ALT key, which I believe would solve the issue. But I haven’t found a way to do this yet.

  7. Does the virtuix omni work natively with the game using the built in game locomotion? Or did you need to do something to make it work? I ask because I too have an omni and tried vrchat and orbus vr and it would not work on the omni if I set it to controller or even keyboard.
